**The role**

**This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2023 with the possibility of an extension beyond that date. It’s a part-time position working 18 hours per week across 3 days( Monday, Tuesday and Friday).**

Our youth project, Motivate South London supports the personal development of young, disadvantaged people aged 10-16 years within targeted wards in Lambeth and Croydon. We provide activities boosting health and well-being, education attainment levels & employment opportunities.

**You’ll need to**:

- Co-ordinate and manage the delivery of young person-based projects and programmes
- Recruit, support and oversee a small team of community volunteers
- Manage, monitor, and analyse expenditure against budgets
- Attend evening sessions, meetings, and work school holidays

**You’ll have**:

- A youth work qualification, or equivalent, or proven 2 years’ experience of working with young people
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Be informed on current issues concerning young people
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills

**You’ll need to demonstrate**:

- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client group
- Effective organisation and administration skills
- Ability to draft clear and concise correspondence and reports
- Experience and understanding of working within local communities
