My client is a civil engineering and construction company that operates in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 1970 and has its headquarters in Preston, Lancashire.

They are part of a larger group, which is one of the largest construction companies in Europe. The company specialises in delivering complex engineering and construction projects in sectors such as marine, defence, infrastructure, energy, and water.

The company has a team of over 900 employees who are experienced in delivering projects of all sizes and complexities. The company operates across the UK and has regional offices in the North West, Midlands, South East, and South West of England. Some of the notable projects completed by my client include the construction of the Portsmouth and Faslane naval bases, the regeneration of Blackpool seafront, the creation of the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon, and the construction of the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.

**About the role**

The role will involve working as part of the estimating team in a junior role. The projects will range from £1M - £30M and will be in and around water for companies like United Utilities and Severn Trent. Works will include wastewater treatment, flood protection, drainage upgrades, lagoons and ponds, major earthworks and embankments as well as river walls in town centres.

There will be some coastal protection work and marine and defence in and around harbours and ports. This will involve working with Quays and Jetties. This role is a great opportunity to join a well-run, highly successful Tier One contractor and to grow as part of their estimating team. There is a lot of scope to progress within the company and they like to build long-term relationships with their employees.

**Requirements**:
You will need to be able to read drawings and be mathematically able. Ideally, you will have 2 or 3 years of experience as an Estimator or come from a QS background.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
