Without our colleagues, we would be nothing. Without support workers, we can’t support the children and adults in our care. We can’t offer education in our schools without teachers. As a recruiter, you wear three hats. You’re a salesperson, a marketer, and an HR professional. These skills are key to ensuring we have the people we need where we need them when we need them.

As a marketer, you’ll create engaging ads, design social media content, and suggest approaches to targeting specific audiences in specific locations. Some roles are easier to fill than others, so knowing when and how to market a job is important.

As an HR professional, you’ll ensure that the roles we advertise and how we recruit follow safer recruitment guidelines, meet our legal requirements, and get positive results for everyone participating in the process.

**A day in the life of a Recruitment Advisor will involve**:

- Creating engaging content to be used in advertising campaigns. This will include written adverts and creating visual marketing material for social media.
- Attending job fairs, job centres, and other recruitment events to showcase the company and our roles.

**To be a successful Recruitment Advisor, you’ll need**:

- Experience working in a recruitment role or a role requiring a similar skill set. Recruitment is fast-paced. You’ll need to be able to balance sales, marketing, and HR all in one role.
- A great eye for detail. In recruitment, detail can really impact the success of a recruitment campaign. Our data is as good as the information being put in, so we need to make sure what we do is accurate.
- Great communication skills — Verbal and written communication are important in this role, as you’ll speak to many different people at different times.
- A driving licence — Although this role will be based in Tiverton and your home, you’ll need to be able to attend recruitment events and our sites.
