**About us**:
The Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences is a world-leading group that brings together expertise across the clinical and basic science spectrum of the physiology and pathology of human movement and movement disorders.

The Queen Square Brain Bank (QSBB), based in the Department, was founded over 30 years ago and houses one of the largest collections of brains with neurodegenerative diseases in Europe. This unique tissue resource was established through generous donation by patients and with the support of their families. The QSBB initially focused on collecting cases of Parkinson’s disease and other parkinsonian disorders. In 2002 a prospective collection of brain tissue from well-documented dementia cases was also started through a close collaboration with the Dementia Research Centre at the Institute of Neurology. The QSBB also prospectively collects cohorts from the PROSPECT study and MRC 1946 cohorts and other bespoke cohorts of neurodegenerative disease including chronic traumatic encephalopathy. The QSBB is linked to the Reta Lila Weston Institute of Neurological Studies and part of the Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences at the UCL Institute of Neurology. The Institute forms part of University College London, which has an outstanding international profile in all aspects of the Neurosciences.

**About the role**:
This is an outstanding opportunity to participate in a project to develop a world leading nervous system tissue resource based on a portfolio of high value, deeply phenotyped patient and control cohorts.

We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to lead on the administration and coordination of all operational, managerial, technical, and business-related aspects of the donations and tissue resource.

You will be part of the QSBB team, and work closely with the academic and administrative QSBB staff, to consistently maintain the high level of functionality and communication required for successful completion of the project. This position will suit someone who seeks an opportunity to take the lead on administering and coordinating a project.

The post is available from April 2024, and is funded by an MRC grant awarded to Professor Tom Warner until 31 August 2026 in the first instance.
