We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Programming & Partnerships Officer to join the team at Ham House and Garden. You'll provide a great welcome to our visitors through creative activities, engaging programming, and sharing the story of our 17th century property, whilst also engaging with potential partnerships, local collaborations and with our community.

**Please note, the salary advertised is inclusive of an outer London weighting allowance of £3,003 per annum.
**Interviews will be held on the 25th of July.**

What it's like to work here:Atmospheric Ham House is situated on the banks of the River Thames. This 17th century country home has a varied visitor experience, including outdoor events, workshops, theatre, ghost tours and family-friendly activities. The close team is often looking for enthusiastic people with great interpersonal skills to join them, particularly for seasonal contracts.

The orangery café offers freshly made food straight from the garden to your plate and the shop also sells a large selection of Ham-grown plants and other varieties. Take a step back in time to over three hundred and fifty years worth of plants and produce originally grown in the gardens.

What you'll be doing:You'll be responsible for working with the property team to co-produce specific elements of a public engagement programme or visitor experiences and participation opportunities for your property.

You'll work with partners to facilitate activities based on the audience needs and spirit of your property, and financial and business growth objectives of your property.

You'll work with national trust visitor programming teams, community and commercial partners to deliver events and activities which engage visitors, volunteers and community participants whilst helping them to connect with our places, our work, and ensure their needs are met. You'll evaluate the impact of partnerships and programming on audiences and partners and share this learning to inform future plans.

Who we're looking forWe'd love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Experience with managing events and activities, visitor programs, and/or working with community partners to deliver programming for audiences
- An eagerness to share the story of our 17th century house and gardens, in an engaging and creative way.
- Confidence in building strong relationships quickly and feel comfortable talking to lots of people from different backgrounds.
- Experience of using feedback to improve and develop your work.
- Ability to work independently, managing your own workload and work on your own initiative, including some experience of managing activity budgets.
- You’re able to work well as part of a diverse team, and able to step up and lead for successful delivery when required.
- You have excellent digital skills and IT Skills (including Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn and understand new systems
