**Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS)**has an exciting opportunity available for a **Building Fire Safety Coordinator **to join our team at **Folkestone Fire Station.**You will join us on a **full-time, permanent basis (37 hours per week),**and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£24,532 per annum.**

**About the Building Fire Safety Coordinator role**:
As a **Building Fire Safety Coordinator**you willwork within the Fire Risk Inspection Team (FRIT) and the Fire Engineering Team (FET), you will be the first point of contact for external and internal customers and stakeholders. You will bethe underpinning support for the teams with your expert data handling and efficiency, to ensure set deadlines are met.

With your expert eye and attention to detail, you will assist with the collation and preparation of evidence bundles, as well as data gathering, for enforcement and prosecution case work.

You may be required to travel to other offices within the county to provide administrative cover, therefore a driving licence would be advantageous

**As our Building Fire Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for**:

- Ensuring accurate and complete data has been captured within the database to support the delivery of services
- Processing consultations from partner agencies and ensure they are assigned to the team appropriately
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of prosecution files in line with the organisations enforcement Policy as well as the requirements under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE)
- Receiving and screening telephone calls as the first point of contact
- Requisition and receipting of goods within the services finance management system

**What we’re looking for in our Building Fire Safety Coordinator**:

- Ability to manage your own time effectively and be able to quickly prioritise workload
- Ability to work to agreed deadlines, in line with set Local Performance Indicators (LPI’s)
- Ability to operate individually as well as part of a team
- Ability to check your own work and good attention to detail
