**Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS)**has an exciting opportunity available for a **Project Coordinator **to join our team in **Maidstone.**You will join us on a **full-time, permanent basis,**and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£28,239 per annum.**

**About the role**:
Working within the Business Change and IT team, as a **Project Coordinator**, you will be part of a team delivering critical projects linked to the overall strategic direction of the organisation. You will be supporting projects from initiation,through to completion and will have the opportunity to observe the outputs and benefits along with the outcomes realised by internal and external customers.

**As our Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for**:

- Supporting the delivery of corporate projects which includes assessing costs, timescales, risks and benefits in order to maximise best use of available resources
- Conducting research and being proactive in identifying, on behalf of the Project Manager, issues of concern or potential development within the project
- Collating and analysing data held within project logs (e.g. lessons learned, people impact assessments, risks, issues, etc.) and providing management reports as and when required to support continuous improvement within projects
- Presenting project briefings for a wide range of audiences, including staff within the Service, senior managers and external bodies
- Contributing to the smooth running of the Portfolio Management Office including the management of the portfolio board agenda (Corporate Portfolio Board), and the maintenance of the PMO and project intranet sites
- Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with other functions within the Service and advising where necessary to ensure the achievement of objectives and the best use of resources
- Undertaking any other duties of similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time

**What we’re looking for in our Project Coordinator**:

- Experience of working within a project environment or PMO function for at least a year.
- Experience of working with stakeholders to resolve issues and provide options for improvement.
- Experience of managing conflicting priorities and workloads, and working to non-negotiable deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills, both verbally and written
- Excellent organisational skills
