Apprentice Health and Wellbeing Worker

We are offering a new and exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Health and Wellbeing Worker to join our Young People and Families Supported Housing scheme based in **Plymouth**.
As you learn, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers have access to appropriate services, support and activities that promote health and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with support colleagues to ensure that customers are able to maintain their excluded licence and tenancies and can access services that are appropriate to their needs.
You will be a great communicator with a positive, can-do attitude and have a willingness to learn and develop.
This role is being offered on a
**full-time**,
** permanent** basis, working
**37** hours per week on a rolling rota, to include weekend working. Bandwidth hours will be 8 am to 8 pm.
To be considered for the role of Apprentice Health and Wellbeing worker, you will be / have:
- Experience (personal or professional) of working with a wide range of people from varying backgrounds.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessing, risk management and health and safety.
- Experience of presenting and delivering health or wellbeing workshops or training sessions face to face and through digital technology.
- Ability to build rapport, engage and coach individuals to progress.
- Able to engage with peers/practitioners across local areas
- Ability to assess difficult situations and provide solutions.
- Ability to maintain and accurately record relevant information.
- Work outside of ‘normal’ office hours as required to attend evening or weekend meetings.
- Awareness of supported housing management practice and provision within a Housing
- Association, Local Authority or voluntary organisation.
- Knowledge and experience of local specialist networks and provisions.
- Knowledge of what housing related support is and the issues that our customers may face on a daily basis.
- An understanding of adverse childhood experiences and trauma
- Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or be willing to undertake a Functional Skills assessment).
