Would you like an opportunity to work in an exciting and challenging role within the Public Sector? My client (Marine Management Organisation) in Newcastle are currently looking for a Higher Executive Officer to join the team on a temporary basis.

**Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 37 hours a week - Flexible**
**Contract length: Until March 2023 with the possibility of extension**
**Pay Rate: £15.17 per hour**
**Location: Hybrid working. (You must be able to attend the Newcastle office for a minimum of 2 days a week)**
**Start date: ASAP (after security checks have been done)**

The Temporary Worker will provide middle management support and operate with mínimal supervision, exercising independent judgement in completing assignments. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to

Assisting Head of Dept in the forward planning and scheduling of work for the coming FY.

Actively supports the budget control of resource, maintain records of resource deployment, resource spend and invoice control.

Responsible for the utilisation of systems and processes, to collect, collate, analyse, and document all forms of resource request, allocation, and expenditure, including sensitive contractual data. Identify process improvements where applicable.

Liaises with managers and staff across the department to assist in the efficient, effective, and accurate control tracking of Data Protection and Records Management activity and product delivery against targets

Provision of skill set to assist in the backlog of admin tasks: such as tracking requests, delivery of assessments, tracking team mailboxes.

Undertake administration and cataloguing of Technical Assurance and Technical Architecture artefacts

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and co-ordinating activities in support of recruitment and on boarding new staff

Monitor and manage multiple team mailboxes, including logging and assigning tasks.

Ensures confidentiality is always maintained.

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders at senior level building and maintaining relationships Typical qualifications and experience

Key tasks for this role will include:

- Build and maintain a Sharepoint (SPOL) Commercial Team records management platform to develop an integrated and updated provision of business information including collation of contracts and workflow, guidance and business processes.
- Develop and maintain existing management information and data tools such as Contacts Register and Procurement pipeline.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and wider spending controls is met and recorded.
- Co-ordinate and support activities to ensure that MMO Commercial Business Partners have information and data available needed to support MMO business areas including preparing procurement and contract data for monthly Business Partner meetings.
- Extracting data and producing reports and analysis as required to identify trends, costs and opportunities for improvements.
- Support compliance with governance, legislative and policy requirements as appropriate including developing and managing Cabinet Office Controls notifications.
- Ensuring that routine, low-value procurement's progress smoothly and compliantly. Support provision procurement advice/guidance to other teams within the organisation.
- Lead on the co-ordination of risk management logs, ensuring that all mitigating activity is completed on time.
- Stakeholder engagement and strong relationship building including managing communication or escalation of issues from operational teams.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.

To be successful in this role you need to have:

- Evidence of success in efficient and effective business support.
- Strong knowledge of Sharepoint on line (SPOL) and management of data and information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Confident in Spreasheets
- Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload without supervision working to tight and often changing timescales.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and control workload to ensure that business targets are achieved.
