Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and providers of high quality cleaning equipment and products. The company is well regarded across its customer base, having grown and developed from its initial establishment in 1983.
It is committed to delivering on its customers’ expectations and to continued growth through ongoing product development and investment. The company manufactures a range of high pressure water washers; water jetting equipment and permanently installed factoryhygiene systems. There are two further divisions specialising in brewery equipment and bin washing equipment.
**MAIN REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE**
**General**
The company has a vacancy for the key role of skilled Mobile Service Engineer in its service department at Acle, between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. The company provides a pleasant and modern work environment with good quality welfare facilities.
**Under the overall control of the Service Manager, the job involves:

- **
- Fault finding, maintenance and repair of all types of equipment within the company’s product range, including hygiene/pumping systems installed within customer’s premises; "Cask Washer" brewery cask cleaning machines; waste bin cleaning machinery; and otherassociated equipment.
- Liaison with customers on site to ensure their needs are met and building positive relationships with them.
- Testing of completed repairs.
- Completing and maintaining supporting documentation
- Working closely with the service manager and other company staff to provide a high quality service to customers.
- Working within, and assisting to further develop, the Company’s combined Quality and Environmental Management systems (QMS/EMS)

**Compliance**
Ensuring that all products/systems worked on are left in a safe operational condition following repair/maintenance.
Meeting all other requirements of the company’s Health & Safety Management system, Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
**Specifics**
- A high level of knowledge of fault diagnosis and rectification on a wide variety of PLC controlled equipment (principally Siemens "Logo").
- Writing/modification of PLC programs in conjunction with design staff.
- Occasional minor electrical/mechanical installation work
- A logical, persistent, methodical and tidy approach to working.
- A commitment to solving and "seeing through" problems while on site.
- Based at Acle with a willingness to travel across the company’s principal operating area of the East of England, with occasional visits anywhere in the UK involving overnight stays, for which a company vehicle is provided.
- Maintenance, improvement and updating of relevant documentation

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- An interest and aptitude toward all things mechanical/electrical.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (or willingness to develop).
- Electrically qualified to Level 3 or 4
- Possession of BS7671 18th Edition qualification (or willingness to undertake)
- C&G 2391-52 Electrical Testing & 2377 PAT Testing (or willingness to undertake)
- Understanding of drawings and written instructions.
- Safe and effective use of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- Safe and effective use of hand and small power tools
- Computer literate and ability to use Microsoft Office programs and manufacturer
- specific programs such as Siemens Logo and ABB VSD.
- A relevant health and safety qualification: CSCS; "Working Safely", or similar.
