**Saw Operator**

**Main tasks and duties**
- Liaising with commercial and the sales team to ensure all orders are processed within required timeframes;
- Fork lift truck counterbalance duties;
- Operating the precision cut to size Schelling or Homag saw;
- Cutting and operating the saw to specific measurements and requirements that meet Company quality standards;
- Maintain documentation efficiently and to a high standard of accuracy;
- Contribute to improvements in service, processes, productivity, and quality of manufacture of product ranges;
- Finish all work to exact specifications, customer deadlines and the Company’s high standards of quality;
- Follow work instructions accurately and efficiently;
- Carry out work according to Company procedures and using in-house computerised administration and workflow systems;
- Maintain work area to required standard;
- Undertake all training and development activities as required.
- **Health & Safety**_
- Carry out duties at all times in a safe and responsible manner whilst conforming to current Health & Safety Regulations;
- Ensure Team Leader and fellow employees are informed of all potential hazards / problems that may arise;
- Through good housekeeping procedures ensure that a safe and clean working environment is kept at all times;
- Ensure all waste material or product is dealt with, as directed, in a prompt manner;
- Check disposal instructions are strictly adhered to and that no environmental pollution results from the disposal of any material from the area under your control.

**Communications**
- Ensure communications are maintained at the highest possible level with colleagues and close communication with production manager on all aspects of work, but particularly in respect of any critical item;
- Develop mutual respect with all employees and colleagues, by ensuring that all dealings are objective and impartial.

**General**
- Ensure compliance with the company's Equal Opportunity Policy;
- Assist with other functions of Brett Martin as necessary;
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required.
