**Salary**:£25,120,00, raising to £27,040.00 on successful completion of probation.

**Hours**: 37.5 Hours pw

**Position Overview - **As a member of the Youth Engagement Team under direction from the Operations
Manager you will be required to deliver consolidated and individualised training, development and employability support to 16-18 year olds who are assessed as NEET (Not in Education, Employment or

Training) and support young people to make the most of their potential

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assess learners on their existing abilities to create individual learning plans sessions that build on previous learning and provide evidence towards employability and personal development, underpinned by any relevant qualifications.
- Carry out meaningful interviews, inductions, initial assessments, and review learners to measure progress and identify actions and training needs.
- To plan and deliver progressive sessions that build on previous learning
- To organise meaningful training and activities for learners, including trips and guest speakers in line with the programme including online learning sessions.
- To ensure learners are adequately prepared and given the opportunity to progress onto higher level routes within a timely manner by liaising effectively with all other teams
- Ensure targets set by the Company and Welsh Government are met, including Learner starts, attendance, qualification achievement and progression outcomes.
- To work closely with the Job Coach to maximise starts, progressions and qualification achievement and ensure progression opportunities for learners are identified and met
- To ensure learners are adequately prepared and given the opportunity to progress onto higher level routes within a timely manner by liaising effectively with all other teams
- To use in-house systems to monitor and maintain attendance levels.
- To identify learners who are at high risk of disengaging and implement strategies to prevent this from happening.
- Liaise with Careers Wales and Working Wales, Job Coaches and other referral support agencies in order to support learners’ additional needs.
- Be fully aware of the company Health & Safety policy and procedures to ensure that the physical environment of the learner during indoor and outdoor sessions is safe and appropriate.
- Be fully aware of the company safeguarding policy and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of the learners.
- Communicating with parents/guardians regarding issues that require attention
- To carry out any related administrative duties required enabling the smooth running of the
- Engagement Traineeship Programmes liaising with all routes and Audit & Compliance department.
- To adhere to and promote North Wales Training’s environmental practices.
- Any other duties as requested by your Operations Manager, which may be necessary from time to time.

**Other Duties**
- Undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Managing Director and commensurate with the level of the post.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Equality and Diversity and Health and
- Safety
- Undertake appropriate training and development as required
- Participate in Performance Review and Development Scheme
- Adhere to the company environmental policy and guidelines and undertake tasks in a sustainable manner
- To actively keep updated with the company’s services and programmes.
- As appropriate to your role you will work to the Common Inspection Framework, ISO: 9001:2015,Investors in People, ISO 27001 and other quality standards as required by the company and its partners.
- Recognition and regard for observing confidentiality.

**Qualifications and Skills - Essential**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with NEET learners
- Competency with regard for Safeguarding
- Good level of Literacy and Numeracy Grade C or equivalen
