We have a vacancy for a front of house role at The Monk, is a busy and friendly restaurant in the centre of Quorn. What we're looking for, above all, is something you can't be taught - someone with a vibrant, outgoing personality, who's willing to work hard, as part of a small team, be caring, considerate and focussed on the detail. The ideal person will have previous experience in a similarly busy environment, as this is important for a quick integration in to the business. A good working knowledge of beers, wines and spirits as well as cocktails would be a huge advantage. As the role involves unsupervised service of alcohol, we are only able to consider applicants who are over 18.

We open for evening service Tuesday-Saturday and lunch on Sundays.

Shifts range roughly from 4 hours to 10 hours.

Your role with us during a shift will include but not be limited to:
Welcoming and seating guests

Explaining specials

Making recommendations and up-selling products to customers

Taking food and drinks orders

Serving food and drinks

Accurately taking payment

Overall management of the customer experience

Cleaning down during and at the end of service maintaining a high level of hygiene

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £7.00-£11.00 per hour
