**Job Title**:Children’s Psychological Therapist

**Salary**:NJC/SCP 23-25 (£32,076 - £33,945)

**Contracted Hours**:35 hours

**Annual Leave**:30 days per annum

**Responsible to**: YIACS Development Manager (Therapy Service)

**Accountable to**: SSOP Manager, CEO and Board of Trustees

**Location**: Liverpool Primary Schools and YPAS Community Hubs

**Additional Benefits**: 30 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays, Funded external clinical supervision, Membership costs & Accreditation fees. Yearly opportunities to CYP-IAPT courses.

**Purpose of Role**:

- To provide Creative Therapies to primary school children (aged 5-11) who have difficulties with their mental health and emotional well-being.
- To provide therapy to help children deal with complex needs to enhance their engagement and attainment in education.
- To engage with families as appropriate to the needs of the child.
- To carry out peripatetic work as and when required.
- To manage and maintain a therapeutic caseload as outlined by Management.
- To maintain existing links and cultivate good working relationships with the voluntary and statutory sectors.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To manage and maintain a caseload of working within a 1+8 therapeutic delivery model under YPAS Clinical Management system.
- To provide individual therapy to children who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
- To liaise with teaching staff, parents and carers.
- To use Routine Outcome Measures collaboratively with children, parents and teachers to; assess, monitor, evaluate and demonstrate the impact of the intervention as agreed by YPAS.
- To develop and maintain sound working relationships with external agencies, to enable appropriate support relating to the child’s needs.
- To safeguard children, young people and families by adhering to the protocols of YPAS and the LSCP (Liverpool Safeguarding Children Partnership).
- To initiate and support the EHAT (Early Help Assessment Tool) assessments.
- To attend safeguarding, EHAT and multi-agency meetings as and when required by caseload.
- To be Information Governance compliant in regards to Safeguarding Children and Young People’s personal data.
- To record and enter data in accordance with the organisation’s needs.
- To actively promote participation.
- To produce monthly Activity reports based on your undertaken work and activities.
- To submit End of Case reports directly to commissioning Primary schools.
- To identify and access appropriate training and personal development opportunities.
- To be committed to value based and anti
- discriminatory practice.

- To actively participate in the evaluation and quality assurance of the service.
- To share knowledge and skills through training as and when required.
- To engage with all YPAS services and team members

**Essential Qualifications**:

- A recognised Therapeutic qualification to diploma level or above
- Registered therapist of a professional membership body

**Essential Experience**:

- Individual therapy

**Essential Knowledge and Understanding**:

- Issues affecting children’s mental health and emotional well-being.

**Essential Abilities and Skills**:

- Excellent listening skills
- To build and maintain effective working relationships with professionals, parents and carers
- To build and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with children.
- To monitor and evaluate according to YPAS’s systems.
- To work under own initiative.
- To hold effective team work/interpersonal skills.
- To actively participate in service development.
- To communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- To impart and present accurate information.
- To collate information and statistics.
- To work towards deadlines.
- To hold administrative skills and report write.
- To be computer literate.

**Salary**: £32,076.00-£33,945.00 per year
