Complete Classroom Services are working with a welcoming **primary SEN school in Ealing**, who are committed to providing high-quality education and care to pupils with diverse needs inclusive of **autism (ASD), MLD and PMLD**. They are looking for compassionate **Special Needs Teaching Assistant **to join us either **immediately or after the Easter Break**. **Role Overview**:
As a **Special Needs Teaching Assistant**, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with diverse needs, working within small classes consisting of 8 pupils and 4 members of staff. Emphasizing a **"learn through play"** approach, you will create engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote skill development and independence. You will utilise communication tools such as **Makaton, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and TouchChat** to facilitate communication and interaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in delivering a curriculum-led approach following Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Implement a "learn through play" approach, creating engaging and interactive learning experiences for pupils.
- Utilise communication tools such as Makaton, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and TouchChat to encourage communication
- Provide support in small groups and pair work settings to facilitate effective learning experiences.
- Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring the well-being and dignity of each pupil.
- Collaborate with the therapy team to support music therapy sessions, promoting emotional well-being and sensory engagement.

The successful **Special Needs Teaching Assistant** will have:

- Experience working with pupils with diverse needs, including experience with personal care tasks, is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable supporting in small group and pair work settings
- Passionate about supporting the educational and emotional development of pupils with complex needs
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Access to Good References and an Enhanced DBS

You will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.

All school-based staff have the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children. All school staff should be aware of the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and work in accordance with this document at all times.

**Salary**: £80.00-£100.00 per day
