**Specialist Customer Care Advisor**
**Northampton**
**Salary - £25,000 per annum plus excellent benefits including: Private Medical Care, GP services, Life Insurance, Pension Contribution, 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays, with the option to buy holidays, plus many more benefits**

**Shift - 35hrs per week, rotating between 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday**

As a Barclays Specialist Customer Care Advisor, you will be making a difference to the lives of our customers. In each interaction, you will provide the customer with that personal touch, demonstrating support, and working with them until all their needs are met. If you are a great listener and truly care about people, this is the role for you. Full training will be provided, and you will be placed within a supportive team who will guide you to ensure you have everything need to succeed as a specialist customer care colleague.

**What will you be doing?**
- Working as one team across multiple channels, personalising each interaction with a customer, and assisting with outcomes to best suit their needs
- Assisting with customer requests whilst providing professionalism and empathy to ensure they are valued
- Demonstrating knowledge of our processes/policies to ensure that customers are confident with our service
- Decision making, knowing when to escalate where appropriate
- Analyzing complex issues or customer queries and assimilate a wide range of information to fully comprehend cause, impact, and solution, to find the best solution for the customer and what’s appropriate for their needs
- Maintaining Customers records are accurately maintained and are up to date
- Working in a very high paced environment, reviewing relevant information, and making decisions and actions autonomously
- Providing excellent customer service & responses on behalf of Barclays to create excellent an customer journey

**What we’re looking for**:

- Excellent communication and empathy skills, with the ability to use a range of communication styles to provide a personal approach
- A genuine passion for helping others with a customer centric mindset
- The ability to educate our customers on a range of products and services
- Proven ability to adapt to systems and tools, using them to a high standard and can quickly adapt to different customer scenarios and life events and provide great customer outcomes

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team but also to their own initiative
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office to a high standard
- Experience in Retail Banking is desired but not essential, as we are looking for people that are passionate about customer service

**Where will you be working?**
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
