**About the role**:
We’re seeking one talented individual to join the team as Medical Billing Administrator on either a part-time (3-4 days per week) or full-time basis. Our Medical Billing Administrator will provide administrative support in the collections process working with our patients, insurance companies and hospitals on billing related to their private medical appointment/procedure. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Enquire to and correspond with patients in an attempt to collect on unpaid invoices
- Place calls or send messages to those with unresolved issues
- Review claims to ensure blocks are placed to prevent bad debt and remove blocks when appropriate so that appointments can be booked
- Maintain the database by entering, updating, and retrieving data
- Assist in the resolution of outstanding invoice problems from past-due accounts
- Identify and escalate payment issues according to established procedures
- Assist colleagues in ad-hoc administrator duties such as answering overflow telephone calls during busy periods
**Must have the following qualities**:
- Advanced computer and keyboarding skills are required; Microsoft Office suite is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good grammar and diction
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all business interactions
- Make sound decisions with an ability to learn quickly
- Work independently with mínimal supervision
- Outstanding time management and prioritisation skills
- Understanding of medical terminology and billing is desired

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£24,499.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
