Full time Temporary Secretary position based in Birmingham working for the government. The role offers hybrid working.

**Client Details**

My client is the government who are looking for a Temporary Secretary based hybrid in Birmingham.

**Description**
- Providing the Secretariat function to the Portfolio Committee, as well as other Committees.
- Creating agendas for Committee meetings
- Managing, monitoring and updating Committee action logs.
- Sending out commissions - then following up and chasing these to ensure deadlines are met and circulating these papers ahead of Committee meetings
- Diary logistics and meeting room bookings for Committee and Board meetings
- Taking minutes at meetings as required, editing and circulating these.
- Raising purchase orders
- Involvement in the creation of the yearly Corporate calendars of meetings for all Boards and Committees.
- Managing the governance folders and files

- Highly organised and flexible with a positive 'can do' attitude towards administrative tasks.
- Someone who is comfortable engaging with senior staff members and can do so in a professional and efficient way.
- Someone who is able to remain calm under pressure and work in a fast paced environment.

- Someone who can use their initiative with a wide range of admin tasks and who is able to work independently as appropriate.
- Someone willing to work flexibly in terms of remote and in person working practices - with a team across multiple locations.
