Finance Assistant

Our administrator role is ideal for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual who is looking to use their experience to really offer value to our company.
Administration experience is essential, but we are looking for someone who is personable, bright and with a willingness to learn new skills. Proficiency in Maths and English are vital. Good computer and telephone skills are a definite advantage as is any accounting experience or qualifications.
You will work closely with the directors of the business to handle day to day administration tasks within the business including:
- Administer book-keeping aspects of the business (using Xero online accounting software): Invoicing / Accounts Receivable, Liaising with suppliers / Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation
- General administration of documents and associated paperwork for the team
- Ability to manage own workload and time
- Strong IT and keyboard skills
- Comfortable on the telephone
- Ability to manage various tasks in a logical fashion
- Keep track of important deadlines
- Be a strong communicator
- Be able to learn and understand our business
- Ability to offer suggestions and improvements to way administration tasks are handled
The role would ideally suit somebody who is looking to structure work around other commitments or family life with flexibility being offered around office hours over the working week. The role provides the chance for the successful individual to join a progressive business, with further opportunities available due to company growth.
We are offering circa 14 hours per week (during standard office hours) at our Hull office. We pay above minimum wage with the salary for this role dependent on experience.
