**The Role**

This is a full time role where you will be a key member of the Yuill & Kyle Debt Recovery Team. Your main task will be to provide full administrative support to our Team of Paralegals and Managing Director.

Yuill & Kyle are a part of MacRoberts LLP and are based in their offices in Glasgow’s International Financial Services District.

**Key Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks including download and upload of documents using Civil Online portal, diary management, preparation of outgoing mail and scanning and allocation of incoming mail. Creation of new files, drafting of pre-legal action letters to businesses and individuals requesting payment of sums due to our clients, liaising with clients following any response to pre-legal letters, drafting and submission of Simple Procedure court actions.

You will receive full training in the following tasks and duties:

- Pre sue collections to include telephone collections;
- Use of a fully integrated legal debt recovery case management system;
- liaising with clients to advise on the best course of action to maximise recoveries.
- Use of the Scottish Court Service online portal, Civil Online

**IT Support**

**Training**

Full training will be given on the theoretical aspects of the legal processes. For example, the legal contractual basis which justifies court action will be examined and the rules of court which require to be followed when court action is raised will be explored. Also the legal basis of judgment enforcement will be reviewed.

Practical training will be given on the operation of Solcase by one of Yuill & Kyle’s Team who will explain the process and how the program is used.

Different Team members will explain certain aspects of the process in chronological order in terms of the job description.

**Working as a Team**

You will be an integral part of the team and will learn all aspects of the role. For example once having been taught and proficient on the pre - legal routine you will ensure all letters are sent, all calls made and all advice given. You will ensure that all of the foregoing is carried out via Solcase and where appropriate MS Office. Advice will always be available from your helpful colleagues.

**Location**

The role is office based in our Glasgow office.

**Hours of Work**

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour break for lunch.
