This busy speciality is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person who can offer excellent secretarial and administration skills to assist in the provision of a comprehensive service.

To be successful you will have excellent audio-typing, organisational and communication skills, have a flexible and professional approach to the work and enjoy the variety of communicating with a wide range of people both internal and external to the Trust. This includes being the first point of contact for all forms of communication within the clinical team, ensuring the effective day to day running of the clinical and workload organisation for the consultants and their teams and providing cover for colleagues as necessary.

To provide administrative support to the HIV team

To act as one of the first point of contact for the Marram Clinic users, ensuring efficient and sensitive communication with patients and other health professionals.

To minute and support the HIV multi-disciplinary team meeting

To provide basic administration support to the HIV specialist nurse and consultants.

To provide support to the HIV Team Coordinator

To liaise with Pharmacy regarding medication distribution to the clinic

To maintain absolute patient confidentiality in accordance with the Trust’s Code of Practice for Patient confidentiality

Sustainability is integral to the Trust achieving the NHS Net Zero target. All staff are therefore actively encouraged and supported to implement new ways of working within their field of expertise.

The post-holder will be required to have previous administrative/reception experience in an NHS or similar background

The post-holder should have experience of working with computer programmes including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

Previous experience of managing information in databases

Experience of professional communication with patients, the general public and health care professionals over the phone
