Every day is different within the Mortgage Advice Team - whether a first-time buyer just starting out or a seasoned home mover; ultimately we are responsible for helping customers own their own home. We support the customer every step of the way from saving for a deposit, to owning their own home and beyond. If you enjoy making peoples dreams come true then this is the role for you. Our team works closely together ensuring we provide the best possible service for our customers. Contributing to common goals, you’ll also be comfortable working independently whilst having support every step of the way.

- Supporting customers obtain their dream home and communicate effectively to ensure their protection needs are recognised.
- Build long lasting relationship with colleagues and customers.
- Provide quality professional mortgage advice.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of customers with regular and positive engagement.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of products, criteria, and procedures.
- Embrace Newcastle Building Society’s purpose and behaviours.
- Conduct telephone, face to face and video appointments with customers.
You will be working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Mortgage advice along with The Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (Cemap) a professional qualification that prepares individuals to become a recognised Mortgage Adviser.
With the support of your manager and mentor, you will have objectives to work towards to make sure you are developing during your time with us. We really want to hear your ideas throughout your time with us, so you’ll have lots of opportunity to suggest new and innovative ways of working.
We go beyond the traditional apprenticeship route to offer you the opportunity to help you learn and experience things beyond your role that will support your career development through a team challenge project with our Early Talent community.
About You
You should have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (Grade A*-C/ 4-9, including Maths and English) are essential, preferably including an ICT grade.
An ability to communicate effectively with others via a range of methods along with first class attention to detail is a must.
Be able to demonstrate basic understanding and usage of a personal computing device with basic IT administration skills.
