Dutton Recruitment are seeking experienced children support workers to join our ever-growing children support division.

With work available in a variety of working settings including emergency placement breakdown support, early intervention, contact supervision, children's disability, respite packages and many others. The work we have available covers the entire Yorkshire region.

**Job Description Overview**
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the young people we support is always the top priority. Adhering to all safety plans and safeguarding procedures which are in place.
- Providing support to the young people on a 2-1 or 1-1 basis in crash pads, the community and or residential units. Ensuring that professionalism is always maintained.
- Supporting children for activities within the community such as trips to the cinema, local parks and other activities dependent on the individual child’s needs and interests.
- Utilising your skills, experience, and training to diffuse and distract, potentially challenging behaviour.
- To support and empower young people to reach their potential
- Producing in-depth and accurate daily interaction notes for the young people you support.
- Understand equal opportunities and support the equality and diversity of the individual.
- Promoting and enabling social inclusion when possible.

**Essential Criteria**
- 6 months' recent experience working as a Support Worker within in the UK
- You must have the right to work within the UK.
- You must have a strong commitment to providing the highest standards of support possible.
- The ability to adapt to situations and manage conflict effectively.
- A clean DBS
- MPVA certificate
