Reedbut Group designs and manufactures corrugated packaging. The business has three sites; Milton Keynes the head office, Andover in Hampshire, Strood in Kent, and is one of the leading independent sheet plants in the UK. The company has an annual turnover of £20 million which is growing rapidly, currently employs circa 100 people and is well invested with further capital projects underway.

The business operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company work with have strong green credentials which play a leading role in the war against single use plastic.

**Position - Trainee Machine Operator Night Shift**

Reedbut Group has vacancies for Trainee Machine Operators for our night shift team.

You will work within a team at our manufacturing site in Milton Keynes in a growing business, developing a range of skills initially as a Trainee Machine Operator. As process skills are mastered, the hourly pay increases. Our main processes include flexographic printing, rotary die cutting, flat bed die cutting, window patching, gluing and stitching.

**Necessary Skills**
- Prior experience operating machinery in a shift working manufacturing environment.
- Good IT skills.

**Preferred skills**
- Experience of batch manufacturing process management.
- Experience of die cutting, flexographic printing, gluing and stitching processes.
- Knowledge and experience of BRCGS Food certified working environment.

**Hours and location of Work**
- 37.5 hours per week - 22.00 to 06.00 Sunday to Thursday
- Based at Milton Keynes (Bletchley MK1 1JJ)
- Initial training will be arranged for day shifts and will take approximately 2 months.

**Holidays**

The basic annual leave entitlement is 20 working days plus 8 statutory bank holiday (rising to 25 days plus 8 statutory days over time)

**Employee Benefits**

Starting rate Trainee Operator £12.69 inclusive of £1/hour shift premium, £24,745 annually on a fixed night shift.

As skills are acquired and performance improves, pay increases in steps adding up to £2.48 extra per hour to pay. A fully skilled, high performing employee on a night shift could be earning a basic salary of £29581 per year (before overtime and bonus). Skills and training are reviewed frequently. Annual profit share bonus and this could be worth a further £1500.

Membership of the Group Life Insurance Scheme and the Personal Pension Plan on completion of the probationary period.

**Salary**: £12.19-£15.17 per hour
