Leighton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed individuals who can work effectively both as part of a team and independently, using their own initiative.

You will join our existing security teams in the bustling environment of Leighton Hospital.

Based in our purpose-built Control Room at Leighton Hospital, your primary responsibility will involve monitoring the extensive CCTV and alarm systems throughout the hospital, operating the radio systems, maintaining accurate records of all incidents, and liaising with other services.

Manage, operate, and oversee all systems within the control room environment, including:
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems

Recording media

Access systems

Alarm systems

Telephone and messaging systems

Computer systems

Fault logging systems

Ensure strict compliance with all policies, procedures of the Trust, and relevant legislation governing the operation of CCTV and the control room.

Record and document all incidents reported to the control room, taking prompt and efficient action to address them.

Monitor the movement of cash collections on-site using CCTV systems, including the delivery of cash to the Trust's ATM

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester (population 357K). The Trust provides high quality planned and emergency care, cardiac, critical care, child health, maternity services and intermediate care at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford.

**Responsibilities**:
Monitor vehicular traffic and parking activities on-site, promptly responding to identified incidents by dispatching resources or taking appropriate action.

Report any obstructions in corridors or fire escapes to the relevant authority and allocate necessary resources if needed.

During serious or major incidents, follow directions provided by the Security Manager or outlined in the Major Incident Plan, utilising CCTV control room systems as necessary. This may include restricting site access, regulating traffic and pedestrian movement, and liaising with emergency services.

Maintain constant vigilance using control room systems to detect potential hazards that may endanger patients, visitors, or staff. Take appropriate actions such as diverting individuals, reporting incidents to relevant departments or emergency services, and ensuring the affected area remains secure until hazards are addressed.

Stay alert to cleanliness issues, hazards like spillages or broken glass, and any other factors affecting the hospital's image and grounds. Report such matters to the appropriate manager for resolution.

Provide support to the Security Management Team during incidents using CCTV and control room systems. Additionally, offer assistance, support, and advice to callers via telephone.

**Requirements**:
Previous experience in a similar role or environment preferred.

Proficiency in operating CCTV, access control, and other relevant systems.

Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.

Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
