**The role**:
The Student Accommodation team is a student-centred service that makes navigating University life easier for our student tenants.

We are dedicated to delivering high quality and joined-up services at every stage of the student accommodation journey. If you are a positive, proactive and motivated individual who is passionate about enhancing the student experience, we want to hear from you.

**What will you be doing?**:
Working in a team of six Accommodation Officers, you will provide excellent customer service to prospective students and our student tenants.

You will have autonomy and ownership of specific areas of expertise, leading on tasks and making decisions within pre-defined processes and policies.

Responsible for allocating accommodation, proactively contacting students to understand their individual needs, and liaising with colleagues across the University to help you decide on room suitability.

You will build strong working relationships with residence staff and partner teams, and an excellent knowledge of our varied accommodation stock.

Become a valued accommodation expert within the organisation, advising students, parents and colleagues on all aspects of University accommodation.

You will contribute to the continuous improvement of Student Accommodation, putting forward ideas for change and adapting to new ways of working as we strive to enhance our services.
- You have first class communication and customer service skills.
- You have excellent prioritisation and organisation skills, including being self-motivated and able to plan and prioritise own workload proactively, manage deadlines and multitask.
- You have advanced IT literacy (esp. Microsoft Office), excellent data management skills, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- You have strong writing skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- You have excellent attention to detail and care about getting things right.
- You take ownership of problems and seek to find sustainable solutions.
- You are committed to continuous improvement and high-quality customer service.

**Salary: £28,929 - £32,411 per annum**

**School/Unit: Student Services, Accommodation**

**S**hift **pattern**: Monday to Friday 9-5 with occasional evening or weekend work.**
