**The role**
Would you like to start a career in Logistics and gain industry-specific qualifications?

This role is an extremely exciting opportunity for someone to join us on an operational apprenticeship and support our Birmingham office with their operational freight forwarding requirements.

In this role we will teach you everything you need to know processing road, air and sea shipments for our customers and completing bookings with shipping lines, agents and hauliers.

Delivering outstanding service to our customers is everything to us and we are looking for someone who has service at the heart of everything they do. As part of our service delivery you will make sure you are tracking and communicating all updates to customers in this role, making sure their shipments arrive on time and informing them of any delays.

You will also have the opportunity to learn all aspects of customs clearance processes on all import and export jobs as well as how we allocate suppliers’ invoices and sales invoicing.

We are open Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm. We are a really friendly, professional and collaborative team and are looking for someone who shares the same values as we do supporting us to deliver the very best for everyone we work with.

We are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running, who has an appetite for learning, exceptional customer service skills and a keen eye for detail.

**What you’ll be able to offer**
- Grade C/4 and above in English and Maths are essential
- Ability to work well under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines
- Extremely organised with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- High IT literacy skills including strong competency with Microsoft Office
- Outstanding customer service skills
- The ability to develop and build strong relationships over the phone
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
- Accountability to yourself and others
