Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is an 8-year-old boy living in the Belbroughton area of Worcestershire who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support for 5 hours over the weekends.
Our client has special educational needs, is non-verbal, autistic, and has ADHD and Global Development Delay.
Main duties:
**Social duties**:
- Support within the home.
- Attend social & educational activities in the local area.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:

- **Specific requirements**: someone with previous experience of working with children with special educational needs.
Hours of work: 5 hours per week over the weekend. Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour Skills, qualifications, and experience
**Essential**:
- driving licence
- car and appropriate insurance
- experience of working with children with special educational needs
- confidentiality
- good at building relationships
**Preferred**:
- good communicator
- a good listener
- ability to support people with complex care needs.
**Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.**
**This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.**
