**Why this role is important for CPI’s work**:
We are looking for an individual for a permanent role within our both established and growing finance team. Within this role, you will be responsible for supporting the timely, efficient, and effective delivery of the transaction accounting, financial accounting, management accounting and project accounting services for CPI.
You will be responsible for supporting the timely, efficient, and effective delivery of the transaction accounting, financial accounting, management accounting and project accounting services for CPI, enabling the delivery of a variety of impactful projects across the UK. This role will provide you with valuable experience across a variety of areas, making it a perfect opportunity for someone looking to build a future career in finance. This includes (but is not limited to):
- To use Sage 200 Project accounting and resource maintenance.
- To review and amend timesheet records in both the timesheet and accounting systems from project forms.
- To support the review of hourly rates and update records.
- To process expense claims, checking coding and receipts.
- To support the sales ledger on activities and reporting requirements.
- To work with the grant and project finance team to coordinate the financial delivery of all aspects of commercial and grant funded projects.
- To support other team members within the Finance department.
- You may also assist and support the finance team in the preparation of month end schedules for production of month and annual accounts, corporation and R&D tax calculations.
**The person we are seeking**:
- It is essential you are educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and currently or willing to study towards a financial qualification.
- You must also have experience of working in a financial function, experience in month end procedures and processes and extensive experience in Excel.
- You should also hold experience and exposure to both financial accounting process.
- A HND level in a finance discipline (such as AAT) would also be beneficial.
