We are looking for a well organised and enthusiastic individual to join the Digestive Diseases surgical booking team on a full time basis for a 12 month fixed term/secondment.

You will be responsible for the coordinating of elective admissions working closely with both external and internal providers. You should be able to work both autonomously and within a team as well as prioritising and organising high workloads in order to meet deadlines.

You should be highly motivated to learn and be able to adapt to change in a fast paced environment. You will be expected to communicate with all levels of personnel internally and external from the Trust and develop effective working relationships with all. Excellent communication, both verbal and written is essential.

Home working 1 day a week will be possible when you are able to work independently.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the scheduling of inpatient procedures and preoperative testing, working closely with staff at all levels both internally and externally. Proactively manage Patient waiting times, registration and booking of all patients in line with Trust Policies and Procedures, National targets and paying particular attention to the 18 week Referral to Treatment targets and cancer targets.

- Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent Or continued professional development.Experience
