Industrial/electrical Trainer

OCU Hornbill, part of the wider OCU Group of companies are looking for a Trainer who has experience of working in the electrical engineering sector and has previous exposure of delivering training. The purpose of the role is to provide theoretical and practical training courses to meet the needs of our customers, both internally and externally. You will need to be a tenacious individual with a positive approach to dealing with issues and change.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To create and develop training courses to improve customer experience and effectiveness.
- Create course material, presentations, and assessments across all products.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of industry standards and legislation.
- Implement training plans and personal development plans for all electricians and developing electricians.
- Ensure that all electrical staff have a full understanding of Health and Safety & environmental policies and requirements.
- Mentor and guide on best practices, processes, and appropriate techniques.
- Drive safety-first and maintain shop floor standards.
- Contribute to risk assessments and conduct audits and spot checks to ensure correct use of Personal Protective Equipment and maintenance of equipment.
- To work safely in accordance with legislative and Company requirements for health,safety and environment,including the reporting of near misses.

**Skills and **Experience**
- IT skills Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work diligently and with minimum of supervision.
- Industrial environment experience.
- Must be a team player with a “Can Do” attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexible in approach to workload, willing to take on other tasks, and responsive to changing demands and situations.
- Strong Electrical/Mechanical technical knowledge (Compex & or HV advantageous).
- Excellent time management skills.
- You will ideally have, or be working towards, the Level 3 trainer and assessor qualification.
- Relevant qualifications to get the accreditation from Training Bodies.
- Possess the ability to instruct, motivate and assess learners to enable them to reach their full potential.
