The Group Innovation team at DS Smith was established in 2019, with the mandate to initiate, develop and support the deployment of exciting breakthrough, next-generation packaging innovations to our customers and the company.

The Group Innovation team has recently set up a flag ship Innovation & R&D facility in Redditch Birmingham, and requires a part time Customer Service Coordinator to support expanding Group Innovation Team.

**About the role**

You will be responsible for coordination & support of the opening of our new, innovative, Net-Zero site where exciting breakthrough happens. Thereafter be responsible for a number of key support activities to ensure the site runs smoothly and efficiently.

As a Customer Service Coordinator you will be:

- Co-ordinating & managing Innovation Team diary
- Co-ordinating the supply / repairs of all IT equipment for employees and on site
- Own and managing the Supplier Contracts across Security, Transport, Cleaning, Maintenance, Recycling & Waste Collection etc
- Manage all procurement and purchasing activities for the site including raising PO’s and processing payments, setting up new suppliers and ordering required materials
- Provide office administration managing incoming calls, mail, couriers’ collections/drop off, order office supplies etc
- Organising, co-ordinating & managing Team travels

**About you**
- Previous experience working in the packaging/manufacturing industry or logistics will be an advantage
- Previous experience working as a Customer Service/ Team Coordinator beneficial
- Experience using SAP or other similar purchasing systems would be beneficial
- Passionate about sustainability and how we make a difference to our planet
- Highly organised, structured and methodical
- Adaptable with various workload, uses their own initiative
- Excellent communication & customer relationship skills
- Reliable and dependable
- Has great attention to detail, takes a lot of care in their work
