UK & Ireland Financial Controller -Colchester/Hybrid - £65,000 to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits
**Your new company**
A highly successful International group with offices near Colchester, Essex are looking to recruit a UK & Ireland Financial Controller to take responsibility for finance for the UK & Ireland business. They will be a good people manager who enjoys building ateam environment, developing their team, processes, controls, reporting, systems and business partnering the management team. This role is hybrid 2 days office and 3 days work from home.
**Your new role**
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established International group who are investing in their people and technology and have exciting growth plans. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller the UK & Ireland Financial Controller will have responsibilityfor finance for the UK & Ireland business, they will manage and develop the finance team of 4/5 and will drive process improvement and the development of controls, processes and timeliness and quality of reporting. The UK & Ireland Financial Controller willprovide quality KPI reporting and business partner support to the management team and key stake holders to drive strategy and performance.
Key areas of Responsibility
- Manage the monthly reporting cycle.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Business.
- Design, implementation and monitoring of financial controls (internal controls) and systems to improve efficiency.
- Ensure all statutory and tax reporting is completed on time and accurately for businesses supported by the UK team, UK, Ireland and consolidate branch information for statutory purposes.
- Ensure the organization is resourced with the appropriate skills, capabilities, systems, and processes to deliver the finance strategy successfully.
- Lead, motivate and develop the finance team in order to deliver an effective service and efficient service.
- Provide regular and adhoc KPI reporting and analysis
- Other tasks as the business grows and develops.
**What you'll need to succeed**
The Financial Controller will be:
- Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience in industry.
- Effective delegator, but also prepared to get their hands dirty when required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to challenge the business.
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to resolve issues and ensure technical accuracy.
- Ability to take ownership of work and be accountable to the stakeholders.
- Be able to effectively build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead the finance function with gravitas and credibility.
- An effective communicator and strong organisational skills to influence stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Strong systems and IT skills with an ability to innovate, learn and implement new systems.
- Ability to train, support and develop others.
- Ability to travel (expected max 10% travel).
**What you'll get in return**
The Financial Controller will be offered a highly competitive salary in the region of £65,000 to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits.
The role is hybrid 2 days office and 3 days work from home with occasional travel abroad when able which is expected to be circa 10%
