The company specialises in property and facilities management and have recently won long term contracts with local housing associations and are therefore seeking a new addition to be part of their exciting growth plans
**The works you will be working on will be varied but will consist of the following**:
Annual gas servicing / LGSR.
Carrying out Responsive Breakdown / repair work
New boiler installations
Domestic and Commercial Boilers
Plumbing works
**Duties**:
- Co-ordinate and manage the delivery heating team to provide a flexible, responsive, high quality and effective service to our internal and external customers
- Manage emergency, urgent, routine, planned and cyclical and related servicing, repairs and installations on all our clients managed/owned properties
- Manage the performance of contractors carrying out gas servicing, heating upgrades and plumbing works.
- Carry out project contract administration
- Undertake role of Principal Contractor as defined in the CDM 2015 regulations; acting as nominated person for the client for notification of projects to the HSE, maintaining accurate records of all projects and ensuring that all notifiable projects forthe DMS have the required supporting documentation (RAMs /Construction Phase Plans).
- Develop budgetary requirements within corporate timescales
- Assess and manage resources appropriately including the planning, recruitment, induction and development of colleagues, managing and evaluating performance effectively
- Assist in the training of apprentices / gas service engineers as appropriate, ensuring compliance at all times with gas safety regulations and legislation and to make sure safety inductions are carried out with all new reports, including direct labour andsubcontractors.
- To ensure the appropriate toolbox talks are carried out in relation to company policies and procedures, operational and contractual requirements, and any legal obligations.
- Be the first point of contact dealing with any complaints that arise, attending properties with the client, completing QC work and attending their offices on a regular basis in order to build a good working relationship.
- Deal with any technical complaints that arise on a timely basis ensuring good records are maintained including how they are resolved and to offer technical guidance to operatives as and when required.
- Working as part of a team to sustain and improve both service delivery and customer service satisfaction.
- Effectively manage and monitor the work and performance of the contract's mobile servicing team through effective regular individual supervision and to be accountable for the quality of the work of both individuals and the team.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
Strong leadership skills and experience in man management - the role will have 12-15 engineers and other staff under them
Social Housing experience preferred but not essential
Experience within repairs and maintenance
Gas ACS scheme qualifications or equivalent
City & Guilds 6189 Plumbing and Domestic Heating or equivalent
