**Your duties

You will provide inspirational leadership to curriculum area teams for the successful delivery of English, Maths and Business across the College. You will be responsible for providing an outstanding student experience through high quality teaching, learning and assessment while ensuring the provision of first class student resources. Through effective leadership and management of your curriculum area and teaching teams you will ensure students are able to achieve their potential.

In addition, you will contribute towards the enhancement of employability skills; proactively engage in quality assurance and improvement initiatives and provide pastoral and tutorial support as required.

**Person specification

Ideally you will have previous experience in leading a maths or English provision. You will hold a minimum of a relevant Level 3 qualification and hold a a formal teaching qualification such as a PGCE/CertEd. You will be able to demonstrate a record of achievements in teaching and learning and evidence the successful implementation of innovative curriculum developments. You will be an outstanding communicator and at ease liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders to progress key plans. You will be confident to manage budgets You will possess a genuine commitment to putting the student at the centre of what you do.
