Start a new career today. The organisation is looking for a Fostering Support Worker working to join their team in Bromsgrove, part of the Midlands & North Fostering Service. You will be working with an experienced team and in a culture where children arevalued, respected, and listened to and involved in as many decisions as possible.

The Fostering Support Worker is an exciting and important role involving a range of tasks working directly with children and young people, Foster Carers, and other professionals to ensure quality outcomes for children/young people.

You will be involved in participation events with our children, where you will be coordinating group work and activities within a skilled, focused way as part of their agreed programme, supporting the hybrid working team in preparing the children and youngpeople for their foster care placements and promoting the health and wellbeing of the children and young people.

The Fostering Support Worker will support families throughout the Milton Keynes region.

The organisation is looking for someone who will always be thinking of the child, ensuring they are at the forefront of all decisions. Someone who is able to work as a team and able to communicate with children and adults. Experience of working in the fosteringsector and/or children/young people would be an advantage but not necessary. No formal social work qualifications are necessary, but an understanding of and empathy for the work required is necessary.

As Fostering Support Worker you need to be able to drive for this role and have access to a car, be flexible as you may need to work occasional evenings and weekends and be committed to therapeutic training.

**The Team at Bromsgrove**

They are a friendly team of 7, and are looking for a new Fostering Support Worker to join their family. They work from a spacious, well-maintained office in Bromsgrove and the service covers the West Midlands and the surrounding areas in line with theirgrowth and development strategy. Their service is rated GOOD by Ofsted. In the past 12 months they have seen a big growth in their team, and they are excited at the prospect of reaching out to more children in need of warm loving homes. They are keen to recruitpeople with the same ambition and passion. Their team benefits from local knowledge and promotes a sense of 'family’ among their carers. Equality and collaboration are important, so they regularly meet with carers to hear their views on the service.

**Hours ?**

This is a Part -Time Role of 18 hours per week

The hours cover the following times Monday to Thursday 9:00am -17:00pm and Fridays 9:00am - 16:30pm and these will be discussed with you at interview.

You will need to be flexible for this role as you may need to work weekend & evenings

**Requirements ?**
- Good written and IT skills
- Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers
- Able to actively listen to others
- Valid Driving Licence
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Therapeutic direct work with children, young people and carers preferred but not essential as training given
