An excellent opportunity has arisen with Northern Employment Services for an Accounts Assistant working with one of our long-standing clients in the Rossendale area.

**Salary**: £14,000 to £15,000 annually

**Accounts Assistant hours of work**:

- 24 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Flexible between 8:30am - 5pm

100% office based

**A successful Accounts Assistant will be**:

- Someone who is organised, self-motivated and able to plan time effectively
- Sound administration skills
- A keen eye for detail with a flexible, positive attitude to work
- Be eager to be part of and contribute to a great small team.
- An excellent written and verbal communicator
- Willing to learn and use your own initiative whilst working in a fast paced accounts office

**The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for**:

- Basic purchase ledger duties along with all general account’s tasks.
- Processing purchase invoices, matching with purchase order & delivery note ready for passing.
- Producing sales invoices from contracts.
- Monitoring queried invoices ensuring all credit note/replacement goods are received in a timely manner.
- Pricing internal stock transfers.
- Able to maintain regular and effective communication with internal and external staff.
- Answering telephone, dealing with enquiries and directing calls to relevant staff.
- Experience in Sage Line 50 is preferred and experience essential in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
