**Housing Officer**
**Working in the Property Services Department as a part of the Housing Officer Team, you will be responsible for carrying out property inspections & reporting any issues identified and new tenant inductions and checkouts on behalf of Elliot Leigh Property Management.**
**Hours of work. Location & salary**:
**Salary - £28,000 per annum + additional employee benefits**
**Full Time Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm**
**Office & field based**
**Job description**
We are looking for a housing officer in a fantastic organisation that covers Essex and London. You will have previous Housing management experience and be a dynamic customer focused individual who strives for 100% Customer Satisfaction.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- To comply with all legal and ELPM Regulations with particular attention to all aspects of the Health and Safety Regulations.
- Inspect Properties to the required standard and required frequency.
- Keep inspection schedule up to date including completed Inspections, New properties and withdrawn.
- Communicate with Tenants informing them of any identified issues and what action must be taken.
- Carry out property inspections with local councils, Landlords and any other third parties when required or requested.
- Carry out detailed inventories on all new properties.
- Take lead in investigating allegations of Anti-Social behaviour.
- Follow company policies and procedures on reporting back any issues identified during the inspection.
- Carry out Accompanied tenant check ins
- Arranging to meet tenants when they are moving in & carrying out detailed induction.
- Carry out Accompanied tenant check outs and obtaining keys etc from tenants leaving.
- Property turnarounds
- Identify all maintenance work required to bring the property up to a lettable standard.
- Completing administration required to deliver the role.
- Collecting items or rent when required.
- Provide office support where and when required.
**What personal qualities, experience & qualifications do I need?**
- CIH qualifications desirable but not essential.
- HHSRS qualification desirable but not essential
- Experience in Property Management essential.
- Knowledge of H&S at work Compliance.
- Must be able to use own initiative.
- Great people skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven time management skills.
- Organisational skills.
- Conflict resolution skills
- Must be IT literate.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Enhanced DBS in Adult and Children Workforce
- A full clean driving license.
