As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all invoices and expense claims, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.

**Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist**:

- Receive and verify invoices and expense claims for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper authorization and accurate recording.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Process payments to vendors and suppliers through check, electronic transfers, or other payment methods as required.
- Prepare and review expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and appropriate documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with vendors, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of payment issues.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and receiving, to resolve discrepancies and improve accounts payable processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in accounts payable processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
