Group Procurement Officer

Due to the expansion of the Conway Group, we are seeking to recruit a Group Procurement Officer to strengthen our existing team based at the head office in Magherafelt.
You will enjoy a varied role and will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics operations.
**The Role**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual with a strong background in procurement:
**Main Duties to include but not limited to**:
- Responsible for demand and shortfall planning, as well as communications.
- Establish procurement processes.
- Responsible for systems maintenance and reporting.
- Procure materials/services promptly, optimising the cost with the required quality.
- Review and process purchase orders for suppliers in relation to works Orders.
- Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers, securing good procurement deals.
- Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers, leverage demand profiles and act as a “line of defence” against margin erosion.
- Schedule deliveries and ensure OTDIF (on-time delivery in full).
**Key Skills**:
- Demonstrate a proactive and optimistic attitude, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration within a team.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong adherence to quality assurance and good document management skills
- Display the ability to organise and prioritise tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
- The ability to work in a team and on own initiative, including working under pressure and delivering high-quality outputs to time and cost constraints.
- Must have a full clean UK driving licence.
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Degree or similar qualification beneficial.
- Relevant experience gained in a similar industry and role.
