**Buyer, busy hands-on role in a friendly Head Office environment, Luton to £27,500**

Working as a Buyer within the purchasing department of this successful sports, events, and promotional merchandise company, you will be processing purchase orders generated predominately from transaction software, CF, and often complementing with self-generatedExcel workbook.

**Your duties as the Buyer will include, but not be limited to**:
Working within the Purchasing Department, processing specific purchase orders generated predominately from transaction software, CF, and often complementing with self-generated Excel workbook.. Typically, Purchase Orders are semi auto-generated from ourSales Orders but require a thought process to convert/translate the requirement(s) to the supplier(s) for on-time customer delivery.
- Respond to customer specific requests, via our Sales Team, in a quick and efficient manner with information such as sample ordering, delivery date, proof of deliveries and quotation requests.
- Sourcing directly from our established supply base, or, through suppliers that you have approached and qualified, so that we quote or deliver the optimum combination of capability, price, lead-time and quality.
- Ensure that a full written documentation trail is saved within the cloud based system in accordance with specified company procedures.
- Proactively manage costs, in line with required profit margins and budgets.
- Utilise skills to negotiate best prices / payment terms / deals from suppliers.
- Produce and provide accurate 'delivered’ prices to sales team.
- Geographical knowledge and excellent knowledge of custom and logistic requirements for all EU and non-EU countries.
- Propose products in response to briefs from the sales team and our clients.
- Raise formal purchase orders through our order processing system.
- Risk assess and then program orders for delivery.
- Extremely well organised

- Can work on your own initiative
