To have a specialist interest in mental health and young people, working within the multidisciplinary teams which include CAMHS liaison staff and paediatric medical and nursing colleagues to provide appropriate care and management for these young people. The post holder will work within this specialist role with access to support, advice and management from the Complex Care Practitioner.
- Work to identify, manage and minimise risks within the ward using risk management frameworks.
- Provide support to ward staff as required with the care and supervision of CAMHS / CEDS patients. Supporting and facilitating staff in the hospital setting to identify and where appropriate manage issues related to mental health.
- To assist in clinically related administration, development and conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of research projects, teaching and project work.
