**Job Description**:
**35 Hours per week. Monday - Friday. 9.00-17.00. Some additional evening work required. Maternity Cover.**

**Purpose of the Post**:
To lead and motivate the team in the planning, conduct and execution of technical procedures for all studies carried out at Eurofins Alba Science Ltd. You will aid in co-ordinating project schedules, task details, preparing/checking study related paperwork and delegating appropriately. You must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making.

**Main Duties**:

- Maintain required records of study activity including case report forms, test material dispensation records, or regulatory forms.
- Aid with monitoring study activities to ensure compliance with protocols and with all relevant local, regulatory and institutional polices.
- Record adverse events and side effect data and confer with investigators (where appropriate) regarding the reporting of events to oversight agencies.
- Assist the Quality Manager, Department Head(s) and or the Project Managers to ensure that the study is conducted efficiently and in line with GCP.
- Prepare for or participate in quality assurance audits conducted by study sponsors or specially designated review groups.
- Identify protocol problems, inform Sponsor of problems, or assist in problem resolution efforts such as protocol revisions.
- Prepare study-related documentation such as worksheets, adverse event reports, institutional review board documents and summary reports.
- Evaluate, or interpret collected study data.
- Participate in preparation and management of research budgets and monetary disbursements.
- Participate in the development of study protocols including guidelines for administration or data collection procedures.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Experience in leadership, supervision, organisation, coordination of a team or project.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- highly professional manner and presentable at all times
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and an excellent telephone manner
- Comfortable working as part of a Team
- Confident with working with members of the general public
- A keen eye for detail
- IT literacy - have a good knowledge of IT and Microsoft programs e.g., word, excel.
- A ‘hands-on’ approach and self-starting attitude.
- An assertive individual who will work well amongst a small team.
- An honest and enthusiastic approach and a willingness to learn.
- Flexible - will be required to work slightly irregular hours due to study schedules.

**Desirable**
- Educational background of research/science field, to degree level.
- Previous project management/supervisory role
- Experience of GCP or GLP.
- Experience of working in Cosmetics, Hairdressing, Beauty, dentistry or medical/clinical setting.
- Experience in tissue handling/processing.
- Qualified in phlebotomy.
- Experienced in photography.
- Experience in working within a Laboratory/Research environment.
- Experience working in a regulated industry.
- Rota drafting/ scheduling
