As a Human Resources Assistant at ABB Ltd, Nottingham, your key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and supporting effective HR processes and procedures.
- Providing basic HR policy guidance to managers and employees.
- Compiling and maintaining employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves.
- Generating accurate HR reports and analysis, such as absence levels, headcount, and payroll data.
- Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations, supporting managers with interviews and onboarding processes.
- Assisting with employee meetings, including grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Driving employee well-being initiatives and managing Occupational Health processes.
- Offering general administrative support, including raising POs, printing, and mail merges, as well as providing Reception cover.
- Managing and updating training records and ensuring legislative training requirements are met.
- Overseeing HR events and meetings, and coordinating management-employee communications, including the site HR Newsletter.
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices in conjunction with their line managers.
- Undertaking additional duties as determined by the company, relevant to your level of responsibility and capabilities.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within an HR department, demonstrating the ability to handle diverse tasks efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of HR administration and record-keeping.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues and providing clear guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- IT literacy, comfortable with using various software and systems relevant to HR functions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, showing adaptability and a proactive approach to managing a varied workload.
- Strong relationship-building skills, reflecting a natural ability to connect with others and work collaboratively within a team.
- A flexible and resilient "can-do" attitude, ready to take on challenges and contribute positively to the workplace.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times, understanding the sensitive nature of HR information.
