**Salary**:
***
**_£10.50 -£11.82 PER HOUR (DOE)_**
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a ‘Warehouse Operative’ at our Lightbody site as part of ‘Finsbury Food Group’. 135 years of craft baking skills lie behind the quality of the special branded cakes, sweet snacks and slices we produce in Hamilton and 55 million products are produced each year.
From baking our high quality products such as Sourdough loafs and hot cross buns, through to packaging them ready for distribution to our major retail partners such as Tesco, ASDA and Sainsbury’s; our Bakery Operatives play a key role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to gain experience with one of the UK’s largest bakery businesses, along with great opportunities for growth and development. At Finsbury Food Group, we are passionate about investing in our teams, creating great development opportunities. As a Warehouse Operative there will be the opportunity to gain a forklift license and this training will be undertaken on-site.
To be a success in this role, all you need is a can-do attitude, be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate clear communication skills. It would be great if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment but this is not essential as full training will be provided. All of our applicants will be invited to a site interview which will consist of a tour, meeting the management team and completing our English language assessment.
**This is what you’ll actually do**
As one of our Warehouse Operatives, you’ll be working as part of the wider team to ensure our products are loaded and ready to be sent to our distribution centre.
We are a 24 hours, 7 days a week operation and you will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials are on site, accounted for and ready for production. You will be expected to work closely with colleagues to ensure each area is operating and set-up efficiently for both the current and oncoming shift.
Throughout your day, you will be responsible for accurate completion of paperwork, paying close attention to detail. As a food manufacturer, wastage is an area we must control, so it’s important that all daily tasks are completed efficiently whilst taking ownership of issues and reporting them if they arise to the management team.
You will be expected to comply with all company policy including Health & Safety, Security, Hygiene Standards and cleaning schedules ensuring we are consistently compliant in line with Food Safety Standards.
**Ideally this is you**
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Able to work under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Team player
