**Senior Planner**

**West Midlands**

Galliford Try West Midlands and South West is seeking a Senior Planner who will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Project Programmes.

Ideally, you will based in or around the West Midlands area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.

**What you will be doing**:

- Work with the Project Team to convert bid Programmes to Delivery Programmes.
- Ensure construction sequence includes GT programme initiatives, procurement and testing/commissioning.
- Ensure Project Programmes are soundly prepared, managed and updated using the standard Galliford Try WBS, and adhere to the company process.
- Update every live project each month with the Project team with Progress against baseline, assisting the team and ensuring that all work is accurately captured within the programme.
- Work with the Project team to develop realistic action plans to recover any slippage.
- Provide Project teams with PDF updates of project programmes for issue to client.
- Produce Project Governance Reports
- Provide assistance, as and when required, with the provision of plans and methodologies at bid stage.
- Review Contractors programmes ensuring that they are in line with the issued contract.
- Represent the Project at presentations and meetings as and when required
- Safety is the cornerstone of GT strategy.
- Recognise that Health and Safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensuring safe working environment for all.
- Implement the Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets.
- Comply, as appropriate, with the processes contained within the GTM BMS.
- Suggest improvements to the GTM BMS when they become apparent.
- Ensure 4Projects is used as document management system

**About You**:

- Confidently able to communicate programmes with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to build construction phase programmes.
- Sound knowledge of Contracts - NEC / JCT
- Excellent IT skills - with experience of using Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and use of the internet with experience of using this medium to provide reports and performance data.
- Knowledge and experience of multi-discipline design, construct and commission projects.
- Asta Powerproject or other planning system experience.
