**Become a Volunteer with Active Life and help your community in several different ways**:
**We are looking for Event Volunteers to support us with our annual event ' Active Life Oyster Triathlon'**

Active Life recognises the immense benefits that volunteers bring to the organisation, and the bridges that they build between the organisation and the local community. In return, Active Life hopes to give its volunteers an opportunity to exercise their skills in a different environment and to undertake new experiences.

**The benefits for volunteers working alongside Active Life include**:

- Networking and interaction opportunities with communities and Active Life employees

For the majority of roles, you don't need to have any experience, specialist skills or qualifications. All training can be provided on the day by our regular volunteers and event manager.

**The qualities we look for in our volunteers are**:

- Reliability
- Ability to relate to and empathise with people and their aspirations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially listening skills
- Ability to be non-judgemental, self-aware, patient, understanding, flexible, positive and supportive in all situations
- Ability to challenge own assumptions and negativity
- Inspirational to others

**Hygiene and Safety**:

- All volunteers must adhere to and take responsibility for own Hygiene, Health and Safety, and act as role model for company Hygiene, Health and Safety procedures when present at any Active Life site or affiliate site/offices

We are passionate about getting your community active. Every Active Life team member and volunteer plays their part, working within diverse and dynamic teams across varying environments.
