Press Brake Operator

Our client is an enginnering company who has been a leader in their field for over 30 years. They are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join their expanding team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances for each job
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accurate measurements
- Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job
- Monitor the quality of finished products through visual inspection and use of quality inspection tools
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

**Skills**:

- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes
- Experience operating press brake machines and other related equipment
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with the machine or the product

Hours of work:

- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Some flexibility may be required as the company also run an early and late shift.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
