Calling all experienced Caretakers / Site Technicians
Looking to work on a fantastic site, with state of the art facilities and set in beautiful grounds?
Our client is looking for an experienced site Caretaker to join their team, assisting with the management and maintenance of the site facilities and grounds, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Site Cleanliness:

- Keeping grounds tidy, including emptying all bin and litter picking.
- Ensure paths and entrances etc. are free from snow, ice and leaves etc.
- Ensure washrooms, toilets are inspected and waste pipes are clear.
- Carry out security duties and associated cleaning on lettings arranged by the school, as necessary.
- Cleaning of lamps and diffusers and other spot / emergency cleaning as required.
Site Management:

- Weekly maintenance of 3G pitch
- Ensure site is secure.
- Receipt and distribution of goods and supplies to site and ensure that washroom stock is replenished.
- Meter readings and maintenance
- Site Keyholder
- Maintenance of the site heating, lighting and fire safety systems and equipment and ensure any faults, or defects onsite are reported to the site manager.
- Assist with site health and safety, including ensuring walkways are safe and clear and that all equipment and any flammable / toxic substances are stored safely.
- Experienced in a similar Caretaker role, preferably in a school environment
- Experienced in general DIY and site maintenance, with knowledge of site health and safety
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Physically fit, appropriate to this role
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines
- Practical, problem solving approach
- Willingness to undertake training as required by the role, including First Aider training
- Work as part of a team
The following would be desirable, however not essential to the role:

- Experience of dealing with secondary school students
- Experience of building and maintenance projects
- Knowledge and experience with building systems, such as heating, lighting etc.
- Manual Handling knowledge, including heavy objects.
- Full drivers' licence
Salary & package: £19,300
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, following a shift pattern (11.30am-7.30pm)
