We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual, who can fulfil this challenging but rewarding role within the Council’s Capital Works team. This small, dedicated team delivers a wide range of building projects to the Council’s public buildings portfolio which includes offices, leisure centres, a crematorium, retail and industrial units and our 4300 strong housing stock.

You will undertake site surveys, produce construction drawings (CAD) and specifications and attend project/ site meetings for building projects including refurbishment of public buildings, housing modernisations, energy efficiency improvements and disabled adaptations. You will see projects through from concept to completion and handover.

The key purpose of this role is to support the Project Manager to deliver a wide range of building projects, but you will also assist the wider Capital Works team with the delivery of the council house modernisation programme. You will work closely with other teams and departments to deliver projects, including with the Estates, Economic Development, Environment and Housing teams.

**We’re looking for an individual who has experience/ knowledge in**:

- Working in a building/construction management related field
- Producing construction drawings using CAD.
- Dealing with contractors and contract administration.
- Have the ability to project a confident and pleasant manner
- Have the ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
- Be computer literate
- Be someone who represents our GREAT values and behaviours
